Describe your device, OS and app version, file type, and the steps that failed. Use a fictional sample and remove names, contact details and other private content before opening a public issue. Never post passwords or purchase credentials.
Is Cloakmark the same app as zeroNet Redact?
Cloakmark 1.5.4 is now available as “Video Blur: Cloakmark”, the new name for zeroNet Redact. Same app, same App Store ID: 6756290503. Store displays may take time to update across regions and caches.
What can I do with video in Cloakmark?
Cover private details in screen recordings, use local face detection to help cover faces, and choose original audio, mute or a locally processed voice preset. Review the complete exported video before sharing.
Can it find email addresses automatically in a screen recording?
Video OCR is not supported. Add manual covers for email addresses, phone numbers and other video text, and choose their start and end times. The manual rectangle stays in a fixed position, so inspect scrolling or moving content carefully.
Does a video cover follow a moving face?
Local face detection uses sampled frames and cross-frame smoothing to help cover detected faces. Manual covers are different: their position is fixed, with a chosen size and time interval. Neither path guarantees that every face or frame is covered. Review the whole export.
Can I mute a video or change its voice?
Yes. Keep original audio, mute the clip, or select a male, female or robot voice preset. Processing runs locally on the device. Voice effects do not remove spoken names or guarantee that a speaker cannot be identified. Listen to the exported copy.
Can I also redact screenshots and PDFs?
Yes. Photos and screenshots support local text and face detection plus manual covers. PDF export removes text beneath redacted areas. Reopen the exported PDF and check search, selection, copying and every page visually. This does not establish complete attachment, metadata or hidden-object sanitization.
What is free, and what does the upgrade cost?
The free tier includes 3 photo/video exports combined and 3 PDF exports per day. Free video source files can be up to 300 MB. The optional one-time upgrade removes these limits and unlocks premium stickers. See the App Store for your current regional price. Are my original files uploaded?
Content redaction and voice processing run on your iPhone or iPad without uploading the originals. No app account is required. Imported files and editing drafts are stored encrypted locally. Purchases and restoration use Apple services.
